Meanwhile, in the backyard…

While I’ve been editing photos from our amazing Arctic adventure, a very cute morning visitor to the backyard keeps interrupting me.

Bambi’s mom keeps a watchful eye on her youngster in the backyard.

This youngster is probably more than a month old and is trying out some of the vegetation. A future hosta consumer, I bet.

The youngster already has the alert pose of an adult.

But also has naive curiosity, and lets me get too close before darting away.
