By late July and early August, the gardens are at peak color in Minnesota. The colorful blooms and scents emanating from these landscapes are finally drawing in a variety of bees and butterflies (to be showcased in a later post).
The wildflower garden at the local zoo
I love to visit my neighbor’s sidewalk garden because it is a bee-friendly one, and there is always something interesting going on there.
The prairie garden at the local library is buzzing with insects as a great diversity of wildflowers come into bloom.
The wildflower garden in my backyard is buzzing as well, with some spring flowers still blooming while the mid-summer flowers get going.
the flowers draw more than just the bees and butterflies these days…my youngest granddaughter enjoys the fragrance.
I’m a little busy with little people these days, so the next few posts will be short.
