Well, usually I know it’s spring when the peonies bloom, which typically happens around Memorial Day in late May. However, this being the year of the long winter, the peonies were dragging their feet (buds) until just today. Finally, a bloom has opened, only one month late.
Time to move on to summer, we already had a week of warm spring weather. In summer, there are dragonflies down by the pond, and yesterday I started relearning dragonfly names. More on that later, but I’ll leave you with this face.
