Merry Christmas tree

This little tree grows in a clearing in the St. Paul Reservoir woods, and each year hikers in the area come decorate it.

This year, the tree is sporting some natural decorations:  goldenrod and sumac seed heads, as well as some dried sumac leaves.

    • Thanks, Irene. I’m so glad you enjoy the blog. Let me know if you happen to spot that red fox in your backyard this winter. I’ve seen him twice now running along the crest of our hill.
